Success Stories
I just wanted to say thanks for all the wonderful things you do to help lonely animals find a new and loving homes.
We adopted Riches from your organization in March of 2007. She has been re-named "Trouble" and is greatly loved by our family. We live on 60 acres and she is in doggy heaven. I have attached a picture of her in my daughters bed snuggling up with all the stuffed animals, as you can tell she is a very happy dog! When we are in need of another dog we will come to your rescue league first. Thanks again for helping my daughter find her best friend!!

After losing my English Bulldog, Georgia, whom I had rescued from Dog Pack Rescue, I vowed to never get another dog. My heart was so broken, because Georgia and I had been a perfect match. Then about six months later, I changed my mind and emailed John at Dog Pack Rescue. John already knew the kind of personality I was looking for when I adopted another dog. Just so happens, John responded immediately and said he had the perfect dog for me. An adult female American Bulldog. And boy was he not kidding. Her name is Rosie and we have bonded from the moment I brought her home. I do not know her background, but I received her vet records from the time she was born. I believe she was treated and trained very well. I cannot imagine why anyone would let her go, but I am glad they did. Because I now have me a new family member and companion.
She is very friendly around just about everyone. Dogs have a sixth sense about people and she lets me know when she doesn't completely trust a person. She does not like cats, so on our daily morning walks it is sometimes a task trying to keep her away from cats. She has already protected me from a male Pitt Bull that jumped his fence while were walking one morning. She worked very hard at protecting me and herself until we could get home to call the dog pound. She threw up all day after that episode, because it was very hard work for her to protect me and herself at the same time, but she did it. I love Rosie with all my heart and I let her know it.

It has only been a little over three months since we drove over and picked up Heidi from you guys at Dog Pack.
It's funny though, it seems like she has always been with us. She is such a jewel. She is great with the grandkids and has already adopted the 4 year old as hers to watch over when they visit. She has also turned out to be "sorta" a watchdog. That is, if she is awake, she will bark if someone walks on the street below the house. Should those people come up to the house, she is ready with tail wags and kisses to greet them as they come in.
Heidi is our 4th Bernese Mountain Dog we have had. She also proof just how different their personalities can be. As a three year old, she is still full of a lot of lots of puppy romp and gusto. She is our first Berner we have ever had that eschews going out in the rain and has no interest in jumping into our Koi pond. She is also the first one we have ever had who has no hesitation to go up/down our long tall deck stairs. In fact, her lack of caution with heights is something I keep a close eye on after she jumped off a 4 foot high rock ledge outside instead of walking 6 feet and taking a path down. She was fine after doing it, I wasn't!
There is nothing more fun than her greetings when one gets home. Since we are her 4th (and final) home, we are amazed that she has accepted us so unconditionally -- so fast. It is a credit to you guys and her former owner that she has no socialization issues and is such a total sweetie.
